2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award

McLean, VA, October 31, 2024 - OBXtek was recently recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor as a Hire Vets Medallion Award recipient for our commitment to recruiting, employing, and retaining veterans. The Hire Vets Medallion Award is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes organization’s that demonstrate unparalleled commitment to veteran hiring, retention and professional development. A lot of our customers are in the DoD sphere, our founder is a US Army veteran, and currently over 55% of our employees have served in the military, OBXtek has an active history of proudly supporting the military community. We are unapologetic in our support veterans and their career goals.

OBXtek not only hires a high percentage of veterans, we also have a Veteran Employee Resource group, Tuition assistance program, a pay differential program for employees on military leave, support veteran-based charitable organizations and in our recruiting, we deliberately search for candidates with military experience. We recently established the Ed Jesson Leadership program, a professional development program for employees to learn about leadership for a government contracting organization.
