LEADERSHIP
Ed Jesson retired from the Army in May 1987 having specialized in Aviation (Pilot) and acquisition/contract management. His assignments included aviation jobs in Vietnam and Germany, and numerous stateside assignments that included numerous aviation, logistic, and contracting positions within the Federal Government. Upon his retirement out of the Pentagon he formed a new company building computer mother boards and then progressed into Information Technology services. In 1997 (1997-2003) he became a partner of Premier Technology Inc. (PTG) and grew it from three employees and $425,000 revenue to a company of 482 employees with revenues for 2002 of $45M+ and $65M backlog for 2003. Ed directed the acquisition process and PTG was sold to CACI in May 2003.
Currently, Ed is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, of OBXtek Inc. which was a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that opened its doors in 2008 as a consulting firm and incorporated in April 2009. OBXtek currently has 558 employees, 283 subcontractor employees. OBXtek has been recognized by INC. Magazine as the 11th fastest growing company in the US in all industrial categories, and the fastest growing firm in the Veteran Owned category in the US. OBXtek was also the fastest growing small business in the Washington and Baltimore areas for 2012 and 2013, according to the Washington Business Journal and the Washington Technology Magazine.
Ed holds a BA in Economics and Political Science and an MA in Accounting from California State University-Humboldt. Ed was born and raised in California and his wife Juliet was born and raised in England. They have three children and five grandkids. He and his wife Juliet are strong supporters of the OBX/Corolla Wounded Warriors Program, the Hawaiian Wounded Warrior Outrigger Races, the OBX Charter School, as well as many other performing arts, educational, and veteran programs.
Aaron Drabkin is the President and Chief Executive Officer of OBXtek, one of the National Capital Region’s most successful small businesses. He brings more than 15 years of experience in business management within the professional services industry. Prior to becoming President and CEO, Mr. Drabkin served as OBXtek’s General Counsel, where he was responsible for the management and oversight of the company’s legal, contracts, procurement, compliance, and risk management functions.
Mr. Drabkin’s professional experience encompasses a broad range of disciplines, including government contracting compliance, human resources matters, corporate law, and bid protest work. Before joining OBXtek in February 2017, he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for MicroTechnologies, LLC, a federal government contractor.
Mr. Drabkin earned his Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law at American University and holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and political science from Washington & Jefferson College. He has served as Vice Chair of the Small Business and Other Socioeconomic Programs Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Committee and as Vice President of Mentoring Programs for the Tysons Corner Chapter of the National Contract Management Association.
In February 2022, Mr. Drabkin was recognized as an OnCon Top 100 Corporate Counsel Award Winner. The OnCon Icon Awards honor the top corporate counsel and legal service providers worldwide.
Sharon is a positive, driven, hard-working human resource professional and innovative leader with a passion for people and the challenges of business. With more than 30 years of leadership experience-more than 23 of them dedicated to Talent Management -Sharon is unapologetic in advocating for people and best business practices. Her honorable military service in the US Air Force as a logistics officer started her career of service which she continued in various HR functions while working for companies in the federal contracting, manufacturing, and financial industries.
Sharon joined OBXtek’s executive team as VP of HR in 2015. Prior to joining OBXtek she was a VP of HR and Administration for 10 years with another government contractor. Sharon earned a bachelor’s degree majoring in economics with a minor in computer science and mathematics from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in business administration from Texas State University.
As chief financial officer, Aaron Worles oversees all financial operations and strategy for OBXtek. Mr. Worles has over 23 years' experience in commercial and government contracting to OBXtek. He joined OBXtek in 2016 as a Controller, then he was promoted to Vice President in 2019.
Mr. Worles successfully oversaw the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit of OBXtek’s approved accounting systems. He implemented the Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 revenue recognition standard and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) ASC 842 lease accounting standard.
Aaron holds a B.S. in Accounting from Shepherd College. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters.
Michael Schaefer is OBXtek’s Chief Growth Officer, responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy across strategic planning, business development and market expansion within the DoD and Federal Civilian sectors. He brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in government contracting, growth strategy, and technology driven transformation.
Mike has a proven record of scaling organizations and improving enterprise performance across portfolios exceeding $100M. His expertise spans federal contracting, mergers and acquisitions, and operational execution, positioning OBXtek’s for disciplined, sustainable growth.
Prior to joining OBXtek, Mike held senior leadership roles driving complex growth initiatives, strengthening execution discipline, and building high performing teams across business development, capture, and operations. He is recognized for delivering measurable results through disciplined strategy, customer alignment, and technology enabled execution.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Mike holds an MBA and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), reflecting a strong foundation in leadership, operational discipline, and strategic execution
Clayton Crosby serves as Senior Vice President of Operations. In this role, Crosby will oversee the delivery of OBXtek’s Digital Modernization, Acquisition, and Mission Support Solutions, while also contributing to the company’s continued growth strategy. He is responsible for driving OBXtek's IT, Cybersecurity, and other operational solutions for our customers while also contributing to the growth strategy for the company.
Crosby brings more than 30 years of experience within the federal government sector. Prior to joining OBXtek, he served as a Corporate Vice President of Operations for another government contractor, where he acted as Deputy Division Manager for the Service Delivery Division and oversaw the company’s largest single-award contract valued at more than $800 million. Throughout his career, Crosby has led organizations in delivering Enterprise Information Technology services, including Digital Transformation, IT Service Management, Enterprise IT Security Management, End-User Support, Data Center Services, Unified Communications, Mobility, and Network Management.
Crosby holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Strayer University and an MBA with a concentration in Business Intelligence from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a US Army veteran and maintains professional certifications in Program Management, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, and IT Security Engineering.
As Director of Proposal Operations, Mrs. Redden leads and manages the proposal team, and demonstrates leadership for all proposal efforts. Her expertise ensures compliance with solicitation requirements, and the development and delivery of timely, high-quality proposals. She works closely with executive management and oversees the proposal process. Possessing a good sense of humor, Mrs. Redden is able to adjust to changes at a moment’s notice. She has a broad view of the opportunities while never losing her keen attention to detail.
For almost two decades, Mrs. Redden has managed winning proposals for the Department of Defense and civilian Executive Branch agencies while working closely with executive management, Centers of Excellence, capture managers, subject matter experts, writers, subcontractors and other proposal process participants.
Mrs. Redden enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, boating, painting and sewing.
As Director of Information Technology, Mr. Tremper is responsible for managing the organization’s multifaceted cloud environments, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and conducive to sustained productivity.
Mr. Tremper has over 19 years' experience. His tenure as a Help Desk Manager involved strategic technical support and significant contributions to the organization's IT infrastructure. In the retail and hospitality sectors, his roles with Apple, Hilton, and Marriott allowed him to refine his sales management and customer relationship skills.
Mr. Tremper’s career is marked by a track record of leveraging executive functions to resolve complex challenges, implement strategic solutions, and cultivate enduring stakeholder relationships, all of which have contributed to his reputation as a dynamic leader and innovator in the IT domains.
Mr. Tremper enjoys traveling with his family and experiencing new cuisines. He also enjoys playing golf and the beach.
